Tips on Relaxation

Whenever possible i like to find a space and connect to my inner DOG or GOD if you prefer.

Find a relaxing, peaceful space, you may want to have incense or candles burning, crystals or buddhas - but the main thing is that you are sitting (or lying usually in my case) comfortably.

Now close your eyes and picture yourself in your favourite place

Focus on your breathing, slow steady breaths in …….and out.

Take your attention to your jaw and make sure you’re not clenching your teeth, drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth and let your shoulders drop down and start to sink back wards.

Feel that your body weight is completely supported

Start to lengthen your breath in ……and your breath out.

Let all thoughts, concerns, anxiety melt away

If something pops into your head acknowledge it, but then let it drift away in a bubble.

It works for me every time, I’m usually asleep in minutes and dreaming of running on the beach chasing a ball.
