Maker of the month / VUKO

Hi there! I'm Lea, the person behind Vuko Designs. Crochet started as a fun passion project while I was at university, giving me a creative break from my studies. Over time, it became my favourite way to express myself artistically.

I've always been super passionate about sustainability, so finding the perfect materials for Vuko designs feels like a dream come true. At Vuko, 100% recycled and up-cycled textiles are used that would otherwise end up in landfills. By using these materials, we're doing our bit to reduce pollution and waste whilst also make something beautiful at the same time.

Every bag I create is handcrafted, and because of the unique yarns I use, each one is a one-of-a-kind piece. What I love most is taking sentimental pieces of clothing and turning them into something completely new and unique. In a world where fast fashion is prevalent, why not reuse and repurpose items that hold special memories?lVuko is all about slow fashion - creating pieces that last and letting us enjoy preloved products for longer.
