Unprecedented Times - April 2020

Well these are strange times, unprecidented times I keep hearing you humans say - they must be unprecedented as i’ve never even heard that word used before!

It’s such a tough time for so many, I know mom has been sending a few people pictures of me to cheer them up (well, I can understand that!)

We are so lucky to live in Portishead, it’s got an amazing community spirit anyway and when situations like these arise people really do step up to help each other.

Talking of stepping up - I overheard mom say she was going to do a virtual step class this weekend - should be good for a laugh! I thought step was back in the 80’s I wonder if she’ll wear leg warmers.

It’s all virtual at the moment isn’t it? FaceTime, Zoom, Houseparty and many more being used for coffee dates, having a get together, playing games, I expect the next thing will be virtual dog walking, I’m not sure I’m happy about that idea. I REALLY look forward to my one piece of exercise a day and we’re so lucky to have some nice places nearby to walk to which are quite quiet.

So I’ve been helping mom with a bit work, her computer skills are paw, so I help where I can and then when we need a bit of fresh air we’ve been going into the garden to do a bit of weeding and digging (thats my speciality, I don’t always dig in the right places though) Mom thought it would be amusing if she put me in the wheel barrow - to be honest the laugh was on her because I didn’t want to get out, so she had to push me up the garden haha.

I look forward so much to the day when we can all be out and about again and I can see you all my lovely friends. Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you all and make sure that you’re all healthy and safe.

Loads of love
